Community Guidelines
Effective Date: May 7, 2026
Last Updated: May 7, 2026
These Community Guidelines describe what is and isn't allowed on MarkitMix. They apply to everyone who uses the Service — buyers, sellers, viewers, broadcasters, and visitors — and they are incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violating these Guidelines is a violation of our Terms.
1. Listing Standards
Every listing on MarkitMix must accurately reflect the item being sold:
- Use accurate titles, descriptions, and photos. Photos must depict the actual item being sold — not stock images, not the "same model" from another sale.
- Disclose condition truthfully (new, used, refurbished, damaged) and identify any defects, repairs, modifications, or missing parts.
- Do not claim authenticity you cannot verify. If you are unsure, say so.
- Do not use unrelated brand names, hidden text, or misleading keywords to attract attention to your listing.
- Honor the listing's stated terms (price, shipping, returns) once a sale is made.
- Do not list items you do not have in your possession (drop-shipping is permitted only if disclosed and shipped within the listing's stated handling time).
2. Prohibited Items
2.1 Counterfeit, Replica, "Inspired," and Unauthorized Items
You may not list, sell, or describe an item as authentic if it is not. The following are strictly prohibited on MarkitMix, regardless of how the item is described or labeled:
- Counterfeit goods — items that copy a brand's trademark or distinctive design and are passed off as authentic;
- Replicas, knockoffs, and bootlegs — items acknowledged or labeled as copies of branded products;
- "Inspired by," "in the style of," "dupes," or "look-alikes" of branded products, even when truthfully labeled as not authentic;
- Unauthorized fan-made or custom items using third-party trademarks, logos, characters, or copyrighted artwork without rights-holder permission (including, for example, Disney, Marvel, Pokémon, sports leagues, anime, music, and gaming properties);
- Unauthorized reproductions of artwork, photographs, music, films, software, or other copyrighted material;
- Re-tagged, relabeled, repackaged, or reboxed items presented as a different brand, condition, or grade than they are; and
- Any item that infringes a third party's patent, trademark, copyright, trade dress, right of publicity, or other intellectual property right.
Listing or selling any of the above results in immediate listing removal, refunds to affected buyers, account strikes, suspension, or permanent termination, and may be reported to the affected rights holder and to law enforcement.
2.1.1 Luxury Goods & Authentication
Sellers listing luxury goods, designer items, or other high-risk authenticity categories are responsible for ensuring that all items offered on MarkitMix are authentic.
MarkitMix strongly encourages sellers to include third-party certificates of authenticity ("COAs") or verification documentation in their listings whenever available. Accepted authentication providers include Entrupy and Official Authentication.
To promote buyer confidence and marketplace integrity:
- Sellers should clearly disclose whether an item has been authenticated;
- Any included authentication documents or certificates must accurately correspond to the listed item;
- Sellers may not alter, forge, reuse, or misrepresent authentication materials; and
- MarkitMix reserves the right to request additional proof of authenticity for luxury or high-risk items at any time.
Failure to provide adequate proof of authenticity may result in listing removal, transaction cancellation, account restrictions, or other enforcement actions under these Guidelines.
2.2 Restricted Categories
The following items may not be sold on MarkitMix:
- Illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and prescription items;
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, weapons, and weapon accessories that require regulated transfer;
- Tobacco, vaping products, alcohol, and cannabis or cannabis-derived products (including hemp-derived products containing THC);
- Hazardous materials, including flammable liquids, compressed gases, corrosives, and certain batteries that cannot be lawfully shipped;
- Recalled items and items subject to a safety advisory;
- Adult content, sexually explicit material, and items intended primarily for sexual use;
- Live animals, animal parts protected by law (e.g., ivory), and certain animal products;
- Human remains, organs, or bodily fluids;
- Stolen property, and any item the seller does not have lawful right to sell;
- Government IDs, passports, and other government-issued documents;
- Currency, securities, financial instruments, gift cards, and stored-value products;
- Items that promote, incite, or glorify violence, hatred, or discrimination;
- Items prohibited by U.S. export controls, sanctions, or import law; and
- Any other item prohibited by applicable law.
3. Prohibited Conduct
Whether you are buying, selling, or browsing, you may not:
- Engage in shill bidding — bidding on your own listings or coordinating with others to drive up prices;
- Coordinate to suppress prices or otherwise manipulate the market;
- Operate multiple accounts to evade strikes, restrictions, suspensions, or fees;
- Solicit other users to complete transactions off MarkitMix to avoid platform fees or buyer protection;
- Submit false, misleading, or retaliatory feedback or reviews;
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or stalk other users or MarkitMix staff;
- Engage in hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics;
- Dox other users or share private information without consent;
- Use sexual harassment or profanity in chats, listings, or live streams;
- Send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited commercial messages through MarkitMix;
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or copy any portion of the Service except as expressly permitted in writing;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by introducing malware, overloading systems, or attempting unauthorized access; or
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or harms MarkitMix, its users, or third parties.
4. Live Show Guidelines (when available)
When MarkitMix offers live-streaming sales, additional rules apply:
- All Community Guidelines apply in real time, including the prohibited-items rules above;
- Bids placed during a live show are binding under our Terms of Service;
- Broadcasters are responsible for the conduct of their stream and must moderate chat to remove abusive or off-policy content;
- Broadcasters must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer-protection, sweepstakes, and broadcasting rules; and
- MarkitMix may end, mute, or remove any stream at any time.
5. Reporting Violations
If you see a listing, message, account, or stream that violates these Guidelines, please report it:
- From a listing: use the "Report" button on the listing page;
- From a message: use the report option in the chat;
- From a user profile: use the report option on the profile;
- By email: contact us at info@markitmix.shop; or
- For copyright or trademark infringement: follow our DMCA notice procedure in our Terms of Service.
We treat reports confidentially and may follow up if we need more information.
6. Enforcement
When a user violates these Guidelines, we may take any of the following actions, depending on the severity of the violation, the user's history, and the impact on the community:
- Warning — we let the user know what happened and ask them to fix it;
- Listing removal — the listing is taken down, with an explanation;
- Refunds and order reversals — affected buyers may be refunded from the seller's balance;
- Account strike — an entry on the user's account that contributes toward restrictions (see Terms of Service Section 4.4 for the buyer-side strike system);
- Feature restrictions — the user may temporarily lose the ability to bid, list, or message;
- Suspension — temporary loss of account access;
- Permanent termination — the account is closed and the user is banned from MarkitMix; and
- Reporting — serious violations (counterfeit goods, fraud, illegal items) may be reported to rights holders, payment processors, or law enforcement.
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing info@markitmix.shop within 30 days. We review appeals on a case-by-case basis. MarkitMix reserves the right to make final determinations on all enforcement decisions.
7. Updates
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as the platform evolves and as new categories of conduct or items emerge. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Your continued use of MarkitMix after changes take effect means you accept the updated Guidelines.
